No red recording light on Hopper

I'm trying to record Air Force on TCM on my HWS. Guide & DVR listing says recording. But no red light on the Hopper. We are watching it now, delayed.

Is it really recording it? Don't want to lose where we're at by stopping and trying DVR.

I would guess that it's still recording. Try flipping channels. If you can still access the recording from the beginning then I'd say you're safe. I've never seen the recording light not working before, but I'm not surprised either. Also try recording something else at the same time, see if that turns on the recording light, then stop the other recording, see if it stays.

Don't want to lose what we are watching. Have to trust it is, and watch the end later or search and record.

Weirder. Red light now on. Daily Schedule shows only Air Force recording now, but lists it twice- one with red recording, one without.

Use the red button from play to get a list of channels, recording and otherwise available.
You can choose to join the recording version or any of the others.

When I want to see what is recording I hit the DVR button and look for the red "recording dots".

Yep, those showed recording. Just no red light on Hopper until, I'm guessing, it caught up to the spot where we were watching. Seems to be on competed DVR list now. Will check and report tomorrow.

Now started a recording in progress of Chopped. Extended 5 minutes. Red button shows recording, no red light on Hopper.

About to be a matter for DIRT!

But hey, there are other things I'd rather see fixed first.
