No New HD Explanation??

Yea I'd say this was blown up over absolutely NOTHING.
If some don't feel Satellite Guys a good resource ,then go somewhere else. Plain and simple. You don't like Pod cast ,don't listen. Bottom line Personal attacks,and name calling are against the rules and extremely childish. If your pissed of about not getting HD, Call D* or E* ,because there's not 1 person in satellite guys to bitch at for not getting HD.

I apologize if my post was interpreted as flaming. I think I was pretty clear and most would agree that if Sat guys had credible inside info it would be on the board and not hidden in the podcast. And those that believe other wise are very green to the scene say the least.

that's fine dslate but i never said that it was insider info. why would you respond to me or anyone else that way? share your opinions with all of us but in a respectful manner. at least to me your opinion and everyone else's is very important at this site. you'll never see me flame someone for asking a question that might seem simple to you and I and much less responding in a way that would degrade another member for asking a simple question. not everyone is very knowledgeable in this area and they don't need to be reminded of that.

that you came to the conclusion that i believed the podcast is insider info.that made no sense whatsoever. never wrote it and never thought it. why would you think that? let's say i'm that green to think such thing. do you see it necessary to call a member a moron because he sees the podcast as insider info? you have never seen me and never will see me insulting someone because i might find there question or answer as those of a simpleton. never have never will.

I think we all agree more times than not. I am very thick skin and don't take much personal and probably tend to see my audience the same way. I should probably flower up my post to the point it will be hard to determine which side of the fence I'm on.

I read much faster than anybody can speak, therefore the podcasts are too "slow" for me to find the time to listen.
(I surmise you were inferring that this info was available on the podcasts first, maybe so, I didn't get it there)

I heard about EA from Charlies mouth on a Charlie Chat about 2 years ago when he said he was going all MPEG4 his time line didn't work out (no surprise). If the 922 was mentioned here before CES, any press release or mention on a tech or charlie chat, great. I would say Sat guys stick to such announcements. I myself don't find new receivers all that exciting as I have a 622 that fits the bill.
But I can't even count how many times an INSIDE SOURCE was mentioned with a "New HD coming this or next week" post. And you can't site once that it ever happened.
I fully expect if I keep saying it is going to rain tomorrow, I will eventually be right. Not even that has happened with ALL the rumors posted here. If it does everyone will forget about the 50 or so misses, as everyone here walks around with a Kool-Aid mustache.

Ok so it looks like you have confused more than just me.

Just what is this post supposed to mean?
You posted it in a "New HD" thread after a string of post about "New HD" Rumors. But then you get very sensitive when it is interpreted to mean the podcast has some info on new HD that is not in the forums.
Please explain.

Despite Iceberg's heroic efforts, this thread represents everything that's wrong with SatelliteGuys these days.

If your time is truly so valuable that something as small a duplicate thread creates problems for you, then you probably should be spending fewer hours on SatelliteGuys (and on the Internet) to begin with. At the very least, save yourself some time and frustration by a) not reading obviously duplicative threads and b) responding to them.

What problems is he talking about? Since these are predictions and all speculation in 90+% of the time. One really has to take this in a manner of hope that it will come true. Also this forum seems to be a bit more on track than the other one. I used to be a big fan of the other forum but it has become a forum for primarily one voice. It is much more fun to have the speculation along with info that pays out.
