You can cancel as soon as the work order is closed and the 49.99 fee is waived however you are correct, you get hit with a $10 fee to cancel within 10 months. Regardless, it's an easy way to save $35 bucks if you cancel after we (the tech) leaves

They use to have a 99 dollar cancelation fee if they waived the service call before the 30 days grace period. But it is dtv and it always changes I have to email one of my sources to get a up to date policy on that.
