About a month ago I received an automated attendant phone call from Dish Network indicating they would no longer be sending bills through the mail but by email. I logged into my account and sent them an email stating that I still wanted paper copies. I didn't realize that their email function is connected to a bit bucket and of course received no response. What i find particular irritating is that they do not send a copy of the bill by email but merely send an email saying to log into your account to view the email. I get enough spam and don't need more emails. Does DirecTV treat their customers like this?

They should have never done that unless you went online and requested it. I just checked on my online account, and there is still an option to switch back to paper, even though I get my bill online now.

It so happened the month I needed to send a copy of my bill for a rebate the online site refused to show page two(required in rebate instructions) so I sent an email requesting a paper copy ASAP. I didn't hear a thing but in two weeks a paper copy showed up and next month a charge of $5.00 for sending it appeared on my bill.

BTW, the day after I sent the email asking for the paper copy the web page started working right and I was able to download and print both pages of the bill for my rebate.

Is the Digital Home Protection Plan worth it?

Is the Dish CSR lying to me? (RE: OTA Program Guide info)
