No Local Channels on Western Arc?

Is this as of today? If so is there any reason on why two people from Dash also said they wouldn't get locals from Wilkes-Barre / Scranton on WA? Thanks for the reply.

You keep referring to people from Dash. Do you really mean Dish. You’ve said this in multiple posts and as an installer you have me pondering.

The last change we made to that DMA was in May of 2021, which was a removal of 1 channel from Sat 61.5

Dash is the line for technicians to call. Also can be referred to as field support, but Dash is the quick way for technicians to talk with a CSR.

Got it, now that makes sense. Dash may not know as much as Dish knows. :) Make no mistake the SD channels are there. Now, you might be dealing with receivers that will not see the SD because of different transmission schemes. Just a thought.

Dash is a part of Dish, they mainly help in modifying work orders and such, but you are right in the sense they may not be fully aware of how it all works.

I'm just not understanding the issue, it was on a Hopper w Sling and a Wifijoey both had the same issue, and when directly trying to access the channel without the guide it didn't come up either. Maybe just a weird one off issue.

Locals are optional now. Does the customer have them authorized? Are they paying the $12?
They did, but they got removed from the bill when I modified to WA. This has me thinking though, I wonder if the Dash rep I talked to was wrong, then removed the locals entirely. Then the second one may have just agreed due to them already being removed. Starting to think this is what it is, I feel like it would be a major deal if locals were removed from 119 considering there's tons of WA around here not to mention the Dish 500s and stuff still in use.
