No HD with Client

I have the Genie HR 34 and a client box in a different room. Today, while playing back a recorded HiDef program, the client was played back in SD and Stereo while the same program played back in HD and Multi Channel through the Genie. Both the client and the Genie are connected with HDMI though Denon AVRs. I went through the Menu of the client to check the settings in Audio and Video and everything seemed to be set correctly.

Any suggestions on what the problem could be.

Did you check the output settings on the client and the tv?
 
First off, just to be sure, Is the Client connected to TV with a set of yellow white and red cables? If so, make sure the TV is on the HDMI input setting (Y,W and R will only output in 480 resolution, usual the "A/V" input setting although sometimes called "Video").
If not, then press the "Format" button on the remote.. it's up in the Top left corner. That will tell you what the client is outputting at (Probably 480p). If you have the options of next and done on the window where it shows you the format, then keep selecting next until you get to 1080i + Original format. If the format window just comes up, then disappears.. then hitting format repeatedly while the window is on-screen will cycle thru the formats.
