I know some of the older software there was a glitch that put the unit in 1080p or something. If you go into display and change to 720p it works fine
The new software defaults to 720p so you can change it from there
I don't know what happened but mine did the same thing. Then it just started working. Maybe yours will too.
I tried rebooting, unplugging the power, anything else I could think of and did not help. After a day or two, I was going to post
it, I decided to try it one more time and it worked. I can't think of anything that I did, that would have made it work.

The good thing with the Micro is the a/v cable is hard coded to 480i so if something happens and you accidentally get it to something your TV cant see at least the a/v cables will give you backup option
