Just a heads up, it looked like there was a doubleheader CFL game on RTN

Stamps/Tigercats at 7 Eastern followed by Alouettes/Lions at 10

However, the Montreal/BC game WONT be shown. BC labour rules prohibit replacement workers. Since that's where this week's game is, there can't be a broadcast.

RTN carries the CFL

I know the above because I have a StarChoice subscription and its not on CBC this week. That's where RTN gets the feed. There are a few US networks that pick up the Saturday games and rebroadcast them.

Since the only network showing it is RDS (French version of TSN), it won't be available on RTN (or the other affiliates in the US)

RTN still shows the game as being broadcast (by checking TitanTV) but I know CBC can't do the game to do labour laws in BC

How in the heck do you know this stuff??? Does RTN have a website?
I found out from a short release on the CFL site. http://www.cfl.ca/index.php?module=newser&func=display&topicnum=1&nid=5973

I had thought that America One brokered all the US broadcasts of CFL games. The schedule on the A1 site confirms that it's not carrying Saturday's late game. http://www.americaone.com/schedule/Sept_SS_3.htm

In sum, there are many paths to the truth.

RTN sure could use a web site. I'd definitely bookmark it.

America One can only get the CBC & TSN games as per their contract. RDS only does the Montreal games, due to the large French speaking audience. As noted above (and from a Canadian site where I asked), reason they can't do the game is because of the CBC strike

BC labour rules prohibit replacement workers

Even though we are a bilingual country, and most of us have learned to speak and write french to some degree, the majority of us canadians aren't fluent, however, I do watch RDS just for the alloette games on occasion, eventhough the color commentery sucks. It would be much better if RTN picked em up. "A zut alors" translation....Darn.

I use to have RDS for hockey games

"you don't need to know the language to watch hockey" :)

So you can see it on RDS (as long as you have the channel) :)

Your absolutely right ice...,and yes I have RDS, so no probs there.

Hoping for esks to come out on top. Hopefully see them at the grey cup.
