Wii launches in 4th Qtr. No price released.

Speaker in remote for 3D sound. Will have rumble (unlike the PS3).

27 Wii games playable on show floor.

Red Steel from UbiSoft demo. Guns & swords. Looks like a must have Wii game.

Nintendo DS - 100 new games between now and end of year including Diddy Kong Racing (with Wi-Fi), Starfox, Yoshi Island, & Final Fantasy 3.

Wii Connect24 is the name for the online service. Wii goes into standby when powered off but stays connected to the internet and updates games.

Virtual Console - will have old and new games for purchase.

The End.

Overall IMO a better conference than Sony but judge for yourself.

Awesome. I must say I'm impressed - it's becoming more and more possible that first time ever Nintendo will be able to create the same if not better FPS/RTS/etc gameplay on console that was only available on PCs with keyboard+mouse combo..

I can fully understand they had to keep it secret until Sony haven't had a chance to steal it... great work. Now they only need at least a 360-like graphics...;)

Nintendo has done it again and has shown that you do not have to be the most advanced techwise in order to have a great system (or maybe even thebest system to some).

Super Smash Brothers Brawl with online was just announced:

May 10, 2006 - Nintendo just pulled a fast one on us. At an after-hours press briefing a mere minute ago, the company pulled another ace out of its sleeve: Smash Bros. Brawl -- the next installment in Nintendo's popular Super Smash Bros. series.

Details are just now rolling in, but we have confirmed the following playable characters:

# Pit (Kid Icarus)
# Solid Snake (Metal Gear Solid)
# Zero Suit Samus (the blue "no-suit" Samus from Metroid: Zero Mission)
# Meta-Knight (Kirby)
# Wario (Wario)

The game also features a range of new nasty toys, such as the ability to unleash a puppy from Nintendogs that will run up to the screen, put its paws up and obscure the view of the action. Mario, Kirby, Pikachu and Link have been confirmed as returning characters.

i am getting the wii vice the ps3.

I'm not a console guy whatsoever - I had PS2 for less than one day, Xbox for probably a weekend or less, both was a POS compared to my PC, I bought a GC for my wife which collects the dust somewhere - but this time I think I'll give N a try... I'll wait, of course but I have a feeling this Wii will might work for folks like me, avid FPS players, with these cool controllers.

In the meantime I just built a new, top-notch PC... I wonder how long does it take until I have to upgrade it... :)

Note: VOOM has been providing three hours of E3 coverage the past couple nights on their GamePlay channels. I recorded last nights episode and will view it when I get time. Checkout GamePlay if you have DishHD.

Even at $249 this is still the best price between the three.

I'm looking more and more into getting the Wii.

Halo 3 Trailer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
