If you scroll down you will see YTD figures of BD 100 to HD-DVD 48.3 and since inception rates of BD 100 to HD-DVD 94.25. If the YTD continues this could be the last year for HD-DVD. That is a hugh differance since the first of the year and explains how BD could of caught up to HD-DVD in discs sales and passed it up in a flash.

I'm not seeing the same numbers. I see a post on 2/23/07 about BD 100 to HD-DVD at 98.71 since inception and one post on 2/5/07 about BD 100 to HD-DVD at 50.51 YTD (those numbers are through 1/27).

You sure you have the right link?

It looks right to me. Here's what I see at the end of the 3/5 post:

Finally today, the latest Nielsen VideoScan Blu-ray vs. HD-DVD numbers are in from Home Media Retailing. For the week ending 2/25, Blu-ray continued to hold its 2 to 1 software sales advantage over HD-DVD, making slight Year to Date and Format to Date gains. Here's the graphic from HMR...

Thanks navychop, I couldn't figure out how to get that scale in my post.

Nielson videoscan says otherwise. So does eproductwars, and engadget (which really reports other's findings). Even DVD Empire is showing a strong lead for Blu-ray again.

I went to xbox.com and did not find the report. Can you provide a link?

The lead was due to huge sales for Casino Royale... they made the top ten of ALL DVD/Nextgen DVD sales.....

We'll see what happens in the weeks to come... A bunch of releases coming from April through the summer... Smokin Aces.... Heroes: The 1st Season, etc....

Smokin Aces vs Spiderman movies, Pirate movies, Casino Royale -- please!!!

BD now cheaper then HD-DVD?

Blu-ray sales top HD-DVD
