Has anyone heard lately as to whether E* will be carrying the NHL Network in SD for the 2008-2009 season?
This season is not over yet.
I think that the folks on this board worry way too much about what E* will
be carrying in the future.
The track record as far as CI is very good they carry it every year.
If you want trouble go over to D* they JUST started to carry both feeds and the whole of Hockey Night in Canada after much wailing and gnashing of teeth on the part of D* customers.

He's not talking about CI, he's talking about NHL Network, which E* doesn't offer in SD but they do offer in HD.
The only upate ive seen is that the nlf network free preview ended but they will still carry the channel in the 08 -09 season.
The op appears to NOT be talking about NHL-CI package, but rather the NHL Network, which is available in HD ONLY on channel 403/559. He wants to know if an SD version will be available.
At this point, even though there is ONLY a SD feed available in Canada, it appears as if Dish only intends to have an HD version in the USA and Dish does not seem to want to down-covert the station. It's unfortuante, especially when games are airing exclusivly on NHL-N and if you have NHLCI only in SD you then do not get access to the game.
