This is written from the point of view of a Hawaii subscriber to NHL Center Ice.
There are positives and negatives. 2016 maybe a tad bit better so far than the last few years but here's the skinny...
In Hawaii virtually every game is in SD even though DISH game finder tells us almost all games are available HD.
That may not seem important, but watching NHL Game Center in Hawaii is like the way I watched NHL hockey on Saturday nights in NY back in 1968. We had a 19 inch black and white tv and we watched the team in dark playing the team in light. The difference today is that the team in dark is in color.
Nice this year is that the FOX feeds sports line at the bottom of the screen is intermittent. In SD it takes up two lines at the bottom of the screen and a good portion of the game you want to see.
