NHL 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Pens pull of the win. I was holding my breathe the whole time. Thy ws a stressful game.

In another note, Roenick is a bag of poo. :D

While certainly still favorites in the West, the Pens and Blackhawks are far from the mighty powers we all thought they were going into the playoffs. They are not walking over anyone...yet.

I think the Red Wings got a BAD deal with the Abdelkader suspension ...

They say he hit the guy in the head and left his feet, however, if you look at the hit, you'll see the hit was shoulder to shoulder, who's at fault if the guy is looking at his feet ?

The video shows his left foot barely left the ice, hardly a launching and leaving the ice.

It was a decent hit, probably didn't need to be made, also wasn't against the boards.

Wings tend to get these calls against them when suspensions are doled out, I have to wonder is Shanahan ( a former Wing) wasn't in charge, would they get a fair shake in these things ...
Or is Shanny Told by Bettman what to do ?

Last year Zetterberg's head was clearly smashed into the dasher and NO CALL OR SUSPENSION. (vs Pens ?)

The Sens are beating the Habs...and beating them up too.

I'm speechless after watching that third period.........WOW!!! The Ottawa coach ("the bug-eyed fat walrus" :)) does seem to be a bit of a d-bag, so I can understand the Canadiens agitation towards him. That said, the last second slapshot by Gorges, aimed directly at the Sens player was as bush a move as you'll ever want to see.

Monday's schedule

Bruins at Maple Leafs- 7:00pm ET (NHLN) Series tied 1-1
Capitals at Rangers- 7:30pm ET (NBCSN) Caps lead series 2-0
Ducks at Red Wings- 8:00pm ET (CNBC) Ducks lead series 2-1
Blues at Kings- 10:00pm ET (NBCSN) Blues lead series 2-1

Enough bad things can't happen to the floppers from Montreal. They like to play dirty, but do not like it at all when the tables are turned on them.

The fans actually called 911 again after the hit on Eller, just like they did with Chara when he hit Patchoreti. Chara actually had to see if the were going to prosecute him.

The hit on Eller was 1 persons fault, Diaz with his lazy pass. Now they're mad that Ottawa kicked their ass.

I've been called something similar, but not as nice. ;)

LOL good one.. Hart removed his line and I unquoted it. No need to make an issue out of it.

It was still a cheap shot and not a lazy pass. Besides fans in most cities (that now they have a hockey team) have called the police before.
I dont agree w/ law and sports mixing, but in Chara's case I did agree with it.. it wasnt a hockey play nor an attempt to injury... it was an attempt to decapitate. He could have paralized, or killed Pax with that bonehead move.

As for floppers, I'd love to see an example. Leafs Grabovski is the flopper

Cheers, K

We are going to disagree on the flopping, embellishing, ect. That's fine , that's what sports is about. We can even agree to disagree on the Eller hit.

But please show me where another hockey city has called 911 over an incident on an NHL ice rink.
