Ok, it's that time of year to haggle to get a lower price. I usually check out post here prior to calling for tips. However, I can't seem to find them. Anyone have any suggestions to get a lower price? Thanks in advance!

The first thing to do is wait until August or at least until DTV starts throwing Sunday Ticket offers around for new customers.

They do have the free ST for new customers for this season. I just switched to DTV a week ago with that offer.

Yeah free st is a current offer but the op would have to cancel and wife swap. Choice extra is the pack you have to get but I've been hearing rumors that soon even Choice will get ST free.

My contract is up, so I do have some bargaining power. I personally love direct, but it looks like a call to the retention dept.
