Well, I know it benefits DirecTV as they are in it to make the $$ and anything being cheaper and maintaining the same service and quality would always be better for the paying consumer..... BUT I think we have to agree to disagree on its status of a bargain. I really don't see comparing it to any other sport package as apples to apples. Have you seen or been in the stands of most of the other sports? I can hear that echo now from most of them; EMPTY. Many of the other sports are begging for any type of buy-in. But I can always see room for improvement in ST. Cheaper would never hurt, that would just make it MORE of a bargain. LOL

$250 isn't bad either. People shouldn't complain about $250 for ST. Don't buy it then IMO.
But my main issue right now, is I hate getting a bill thats either $350, or paying $220 for 5 months just to get NFL ST. I can't stomach paying that on TV.

They need to make a 10 or 12 pay option , so its not such a shock. That would help too.
$30 per month at the current rate is reasonable.
$21 sounds better though.

They ended up lying to me . Lol . Imagine that . My very first bill and they screwed it up . Sunday Ticket was sold to me at $ 250.00 . I was given a one time lump credit of $ 80.00 , bringing it to $ 170.00 for the season . Even got an email stating such . Not only are they charging me $ 63.99 a month for 5 months , they are charging me full price for the Premiere package at the same time . LMAO . They said that was what was available at the time . Um . Nope . Hell , I know better than that ! They need to read what their current offers are . I told a supervisor to dump the Ticket . He said well , whomever told you it was $ 250.00 was wrong . It is $ 320.00 ! I told him I know the full price . He kept on and on about the cost being $ 320.00 . I told him people get the thing for anywhere from FREE all the way up to full price and to shut his mouth and dump the ticket . I also told him there was no rhyme or reason to when or why discounts are shelled out . Even today he said it was $ 320.00 . ?? I thought it dropped a bit . Anyway , he said I will have to remove the $ 80.00 credit as well HOPING I would reconsider . NOPE . Take it off . He said he did . NOW , I get an email saying I have been credited a one time lump credit of $ 80.00 . What the Hell ? These guys are just sad . Thank goodness I have stonecold on ignore as I do not wish to read about how Directv is in the right and they do not lie and it is my fault , and yada yada yada . Lol . Never again will I pay for the Ticket . I have the money . And I was always straight up with them . Each time I called I told them I wanted a discount . I never used trickery like , I can go to mt friend's house or to the bar . And this is how I get repaid . Telling me one thing and doing something else on the bill . WooooHoooo . I am happy now because it was not a big deal for me and they get nothing AS OPPOSED to something . What is wrong with these people . And before you say it , I already know too well that Dish can be just as bad . Outside of this , I am still cool with Directv but , less than a month in and this happens ? Not cool . And for the record , my bill was $ 169.00 minus any credits . Now it is down to around $ 85.00 for now and my bill was supposedly adjusted so now my first months bill is $ 16.00 . Of course , I have seen nothing stating I will be reimbursed for the money they took out to start with . Hey , Let's watch TV ! And are you sure Charlie does not run Directv ??

Well I'm not doubting you one bit, But Stone will admit himself Directv Billing and Credits has some flaws. I had a similar issue with my Credit for a MLB EI promo I got.

They Gave me my first Credit, and then next month charged me full price on both, So I called and they claimed they can't give an instant credit anymore, well I was pissed. It took 45 days to get my 2nd credit, so as you know thats 15 days past my 3rd Bill..

So I just fronted and Extra $63.99 and $24 in credits I was supposed to get.

There shouldn't be credits givin that way. If something is free, Then it should Never be billed in the first place. .

Its just away for these business to hold on to your money longer to make intrest off it .
And also hope you forget about your credits.

I'll never to a Free Seasonal sport pack promo again with D* Its more trouble then its worth.

Yes . I have learned my lesson . What is reall y bad , is they were charging me $ 63.99 for 5 months because that is the promotion BUT , had the damned nerve to charge me full price for the Premiere package . The RedZone is a joke but , I asked a CSR if I can get the RedZone Channel just as an experiment . Um , the only way to get it is through the Sunday Ticket . LOL . I have to say this . Directv is really bad . I know Dish Network rapes you price-wise but , Directv has to be the absolute worst customer service in the industry . Most of the folks are nice enough but , Holy Hell ! Talk to 10 different CSRs and get 10 different answers . It is pathetic to let their CSRs answer calls without a clue . I am fairly certain I will break my contract early . And what else is sooooo cute .... go to your activity section of your bill online and guess what ? They sure as heck show the charges for every little thing but , they do not show you your discounts . How nice . Nice way to get screwed . I guess you have to call every month to make sure they are still on there . OMG . Sadly , I believe a lot of folks are getting screwed because not everyone looks at their bills closely , if at all . I wonder if I can buy the Sunday Ticket with one week left in the season for $ 319.99 . I am sure I can . And Let's watch tv....without the Sunday Ticket .

As for your Billing part of your post.
When you go into your billing and see your bill, if you scroll down to the next section you'll see anything that you have credited, it's there, your probably just skimming by it to fast.

As for the the Buying the ST on the last week, not sure WHY anyone would consider doing that, BUT they drop the price shortly after the half way point.

As for the 10 disfferent answers from 10 different CSR's, yup, that MAY happen, may not, depends on what your trying to do, also, I would be SHOCKED if you called Dish or any other provider thats nationwide 5 times and you didn't get different answers.

For your billing credits you need to look under "Statements".

I had Red Zone with Dish Network for 1 season. I liked it!

Its only $7 extra over your Base pack, Top 120 + and up with Dish Network .

From what I understand its a retention offer. So I really don't like going to retentions unless I really need it. Mainly because it a last resort benifit to resolve an issue for me that a real one. Red Zone isn't really anything I was promised or had taken away,so I'm not sure what I could complain about.

I have talked to quite a few . I know there are some but , none I have spoken with . These guys are showing me they are nothing more than a bunch of clowns . I said some time ago that the software engineers must be monkeys . Well , how the heck did they get the monkeys to take calls and speak ? Wow ! I know it is not all of them but , that is about all I have dealt with except for one in retentions . It is just sad . I never knew Directv was as inconsistant as they are with programming and credits .

Oh , and I knew Jumbo would have something to say so I am now done with him as he cannot read and digest . I do not want the RedZone . It stinks . I asked as an experiment . No pouting here . Really their not inconsistent at all.

Look at the packages and thats the price you'll pay.
Now if your talking about other offerings, thats different.
I've talked to plenty of people from D* that know what they are talking about, you just have to be able to get to the correct dept.

Stone Cold told us ALL what the rules were for the Red Zone channel in the very beginning. Unless you cry about it, or are given an bonus for something that D* did that didn't work right, your pretty much not gonna get it.

I have never seen it for free but , I have read where people said they have to ask for it . I have also read where some got it as a gift for putting up with mistakes made on accounts . All I have actually HEARD is that you can have it with the " Ticket " and it is not sold separately . What do you call it here on this board ? CSR Roulette ?
