I prefer the 2 year contract for cell phones ... new current were talking ...Um, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon are still giving deals to sign up or renew after a period of time. My wife is still using a Galaxy S4 that she bought brand new in 2013 or 14 or whenever it came out. AT&T won't even throw her a bone on any of the "lower desired" models. I'm not saying she should get a brand new iPhone for $100, but telling us that a Motorola for $18 to $20 a month for 30 months is a deal, is freaking rediculous.
So sir, that's where I'm coming from. AT&T are taking people for rides. The others are a bit better with giving deals to their customers. Read my post again. I said with Directv, I believe AT&T would have Directv's historically nice deals PHASED OUT!!! "Slowly disappear", or something to that nature.
I'm not bashing Directv, I'm simply saying that AT&T, in the cell service department, has gone down hill with giving good offers, to which I believe will reflect on their practices with their new property (Directv) in the future.
I still believe that you don't get 2 yr deals at Verizon or Sprint anymore .... When I was with Sprint several years ago they were absolutely terrible ...
I was paying $108 a month for 1 smart phone ... I'm the only one in this household ... they would give deals if you did more phones.
Neighbor was paying like 130 for 3 phones while I was 100 for 1.
They ran promos of getting everything for $60, but wouldn't do it for me because I was in a contract.
They were also the ones that pushed an extra $10 a month fee for Smart Phones, for the right to use thier 4G service, it didn't matter that you were not in a 4G area, they charged you anyways ...
Not that was BS.
By the way I was with them for 20 years never once got a deal from them ....
When I called to cancel, they said, OK, well cancel that for you and hung up.
Never tried to keep me .... I never missed a bill in 20 years and it got me NOTHING.
Now tell me att is worse.
