For as much crap as Goodell and the NFL in general gets, as most of it 100% justified, having week 17 being division games only the past 5 or 6 years has been something they got right.

Agree 100%! This year every game in week 16 were divisional games except for 3. Hopefully next year will be all division games

I thought they insured that all games would be division games the last few weeks .... guess not.

Of course, this means that you'll have Less division games during the rest of the season.
Most teams only play 6 division games to start with.

I found out they can get in even if they lose, however, what is highlighted, does not reflect a Lions loss.
If they Tie or a Washington loss, yes, but not if the Lions should lose.
Fortunately they are playing in Detroit, they don't win very often in Wisconsin.

Huh?? That's basically what the scenario says "A WSH loss/tie" is an other way of saying the Lions are in regardless of what happens in their game
