NFL 2022

My big want from this, from an NFL / branding perspective, is for someone to finally bring all the team content together for fans to consume. With that content being on Youtube, this is the best opportunity for that yet.

Some of this content rivals and exceeds the quality of the generally excellent Hard Knocks, and I hope more get to see it, and I want to see the things other teams are creating without having to hunt and peck through over 30 other YouTube channels.

I’m excited about this because I’m already a YouTube TV sub. I get that it will still be a $300-400 annual fee for ST, but the fact I can order this without changing providers is very appealing to me.

I was using ESPN’s Playoff Machine, and I was changing results of games to see what the seeds would be. There’s a long shot path that the much maligned AFC South could end up with 2 postseason teams. The variables for this to happen are somewhat on the long shot side (for example the Dolphins would have to lose their last 3 games), but the possibility is still there. I would find it beyond ironic if the AFC South sent 2 teams to the postseason after season long consternation about that division, and the AFC East only send the Bills after having all 4 teams over .500 multiple times this season.

For Week 18 there is 7 broadcast windows to try and get playoff relevant games in (Saturday doubleheader on ESPN, Sunday afternoon doubleheader on both CBS and FOX, and Sunday night on NBC). One thing is certain- no matter what happens in Week 17, the Titans-Jags Week 18 game will be for the AFC South crown. I could see that game go to ESPN on Saturday for one of their games. If Ravens-Bengals is for the AFC North crown, I think we can pencil in that game for NBC.
