Some markets don't have Locast.
I'm in Norfolk DMA and we don't have locast. It would have been great during that long Nexstar - D* dispute.

Looks like we will lose ABC and Fox if this goes down. Fox has been on again off again for the last year or so anyway.

Exactly... Between NordVPN on my Firesticks and the Location Guard extension in Chrome on my laptop I can watch pretty much any Locast location I want.
Was on WVBT via D* so I'm assuming the OTA feed ??

I have already been without my ABC channel for months. If I lose Fox as well I will leave Dish after 20 plus years. I am done paying for channels and programming I cannot receive.
I would lose my Steelers football games as most of them broadcast on my local CBS Nexstar station. I know next Sunday will be on NBC though.

Well, Seattle got rid of Perry Sook and Nexstar when FOX bought the former Tribune duopoly (KCPQ/13 & KZJO/22). We'll be paying the price if and when FOX gets dollar signs in their eyes. As it is, we;re without KIRO/7 (CBS) no thanks to the greedy gusses at Apollo. Come on Congress. Let's fix this so viewers aren't forced to deal with this beyond putting up antennas (which is absolutely recommended if you can).
I'm sick and tired of contract disputes and losing my local channels with Dish. I lost my ABC affiliate a while back and now I'll probably lose Fox as well. I may end up having to switch to DirecTV since OTA antenna is not an option for me.
and you will find the same issue there. Direct is going to lose locals very soon now.
Then I guess I'll downgrade to the Welcome Pack and pay Dish the least amount of money I can.
Easy to view any Locast market in by faking your location in FireFox.

Me too. I've had an ota antenna for the last 26 years. Before DISH had locals we used them for most of our network shows on recorded by vcr. Once the dishplayer/webtv receiver came out in 99 we went with DVR and east /west coast locals and Super Stations. Then we got the ability to see our locals on satellite and all through this we have always had ota antenna for back up. I have been using a Tablo with 4 tuners to catch the network shows and news shows we watch. But I also have the 2 tuner ota usb dongle on my Hopper and Wally. Either way we will not lose anything if they take the locals off. Like the ability to drop satellite locals and save the $12.00 a month. But in the future I see it going up even more for locals.
