Newest "no talk" Version

What is the "newest" version that did NOT need to talk with the TT server? Should we all be ready to switch back? As a good former boy scout, I'd like to be prepared.......

I had installed 3.2 a while back - but did not get it to work until recently when I installed 1.8 and registered it and then all of a sudden 3.2 started working (see other threads).

Regardless, ALL VERSION required INTERNET ACTIVATION and I am not convinced - that if the TT servers go down - we'll be able to install and use anything.

SO - who knows. I'm glad they've been so open about whats going on.
