Hi there, I'm new to the sattlight game. have used a direct system, and
have added an new hdtv. the voom thing seems the way to go. I've made
called, and ordered the system. the phone line is holding the whole thing up-
can I not hook up the line? I dont want big brother watching. But the new
tv wants hd, and so do I. Anyone have any special info they could pass on
to the newbie that they went through when they first started.

Welcome to the forum!
The installation and service activation can be done without connecting to the phone line: many of us are not currently connected. But keep in mind that VOOM may enforce the phone line requirement at any time.
