Hello to everyone here at satelliteguys...

I new here and also a newbie with FTA too. I need help...please someone help me.

I bought my Pasat 2700A complete system from Eman Technology. The package includes the following:

Complete System Includes

* Pansat 2700A Digital FTA Receiver
* Receives all FTA channels, works on Ku or C-bands Remote controller with English Menu
* Winegard 30 inch (80cm) off-set dish
* Twin Ku band 0.5dB LNBF
* Programmed satellite receiver for IA5Ku FTA's

I tried to get to the Telstar 5 for the Thai, Korea, and the Asia channels. I know that the Sat. lng is 97".0W ; Az(t) is 192.2 ; and the El is 38.3. I live in Appleton, WI 54914 and my position is 44.2710N ; 88.4326W and M.Decl. is -3.44.

I placed my Dish on the roof of my garage and tried to aim it to the direction of 192.2 degree and I think I did have the dish aim in an angle of 38 degree toward the sky too. However, I can not get anything at all on the receiver.

I don't know if I set my dish and receiver correctly. Please someone help me setup my Pasat 2700A? I don't know what I did wrong.... I know that I must done something not correctly tho...

I Lost...Pleaseeeee Help me.... Thank you all for reading my post... I hope to get some tips for you all.

What brand of LNBF do you have? Any numbers on it?

To find the satellite you MUST enter a LIVE transponder into the receiver and watch for signal QUALITY as you point the dish, it maybe an idea to have a small TV with you hooked to the receiver with you when pointing!

Here is a LIVE transponder from IA-5 that you can use. It may well already be listed on your receiver!

DFreq. = 11836

POL. = V

S/R. = 20765

If you have a compass use Magnetic south and do not stand anywhere close to the dish or anything metallic!

One last tip! If you think you are close to a satellite try a Blind scan!

Thank you for your replied PSB, I will try your suggestion.

The Brand of my LNBF is Orion Ku2LP. The description on it say:
Ku-Band LNBF
RF:11.70/12.20 GHz
IF:950/1450 MHz
LO: 10.750 GHz
Gain:55 dB
Noise Figure: 0.5dB

Any help will greatly appreciate.

Its a Standard LNBF so make sure the L.O. (LNB Freq.)is set to 10750

Thank you soooo much PSB, I got it to work now. However, I got only 12 channels. What can I do to receive more channels? My dish is in a fix position. Any tips will be greatly appreciate again. Once again, thank you PSB.

Maybe try entering some transponders manually, with an advanced or PID scan!
