Hi Guys,

I have the Dish 811 HD Reciever...I have the HD Package...So I get my ESPN HD and TNT HD, plus get the CBS HD feed from LA (I live in San Francisco) this is all good I get my Basketball from TNT, and Football from ESPN and Raider games from CBS HD.

So I am pretty happy but a Dishnetwork Rep told me I can get Fox, NBC, ABC in High Defination by buying another antenna..so I went to Radio Shack and bought one but notice no difference, in fact after watching College Football in HDTV all day it is is annoying watching Sports on non-hdtv signal...

Plus I am a prime time TV junkie...how can I get ER on HDTV, or 24 on Fox....please HELP...pretend like you are talking to a little kid :)

You have to live close enough to the TV station to pick up their HD Over-The-Air (OTA) signal. This will be a secondary channel and not your regular standard Definition TV channel.

The Standard Def channel may be on 10, but the HI-Def might be on 53. You have to check with your local stations to see what channel they broadcast HD on. PLus, they may not broadcast a HI-Def signal all of the time. As you have noticed on CBS, whenever they have the gray bars on each side, they are broadcasting SD.

Scan or manually put in the Local HD stations and see if you get a signal lock. (50 or better)

Holy schmoley all my recorded programs are gone

Pending DTV/DBS Congressional legislation
