Hi, I’ve looked through several pages of the forum and couldn’t find answers to my questions, please excuse me if this has been answered before.

I live in Rochester, NY and I know that local HD channels aren’t available yet via the DirecTV, I have an OTA attenna for that purpose. …hopefully when the next dish goes up I’ll get these J

About, 7 weeks ago I had an installer install a 5 LNB dish. When I check the setup screen on my receiver (H20) it says 3 LNBs for dish type. Shouldn’t it say 5LNB or will it need to updated when my HD locals are available.

And, what about this ‘sup-2400’ device that the installer left, do I connect that now or when my HD locals are available.

Thanks in advance.
Confused in Rochester…

First of all, D* "does" provide HD locals, especially in your area. The biggest reason your not getting them via your H20 is because the installer has it setup for 3 LNB. To change this, go to your menu, then go to settings, select Sat&Ant and finally select "Repeat Satellite Setup" complete the setup process all over again. When you get to the dish settings, pick 5LNB and finish the process. This should fix things for you!

The device left is probably the "B"band adapter connect the coax to your receiver and the existing coax to the B band converter, before it gets lost. You seem to be another customer of D* that has a terrific upgrade to the AT9. If you don't have signal on at least one of the Ka satellites call and complain.

The HD locals aren't available in my area yet (rochester, ny).

That being said, will I gain anything by going into setup and changing the setting to 5 LNB?

I see the other 2 'lnbs' give you the hd locals (not available in my area yet) and RSN's. Is this just YES HD here in ny or will I get other HD channels?

thanks in advance...:)
