Newbie question

Hi, I subscribed to dish network the last week, yesterday I was looking at the receivers but I saw only one card on one receiver (dvr) and the others 2 (311) doesn't have any card. Why?

Yes they have cards built into the mother board to help deter hackers.

another question: does the cards are interchangeable or they are unique for each receiver? I mean physical cards, for example if I buy a new receiver, Can I use my actual card from my dvr receiver in the new receiver?

i was asking because I had DirecTV and when i tried to do that it didnt work
