Newbie need help setting up Pasat 2700a with Stab Rotor Sat HH 90 motor

I new to FTA and try to set up my Pasat 2700a with Stab Rotor Sat HH 90 motor. My location is 54914 ( that's in WI).

I read most of the forum about setting up a true south...but I still confuse. Please help. Thank.

It may be an idea to find and store a few satellites before adding the motor, including your true south satellite IA-8 @ 89w

So this mean I will need to aim my dish at this satellite as a reference point for my motor dish to start it? So does this mean that once I get some quality signal from this IA 8 satellite, I can use my motor dish and it will automatic find the other satellite signal when I program them into my receiver? Is there any other easier instruction step by step on how to set this up somewhere online that I can use? I tried to understand the menu that came with the motor equipment but I can not understand it that well. Any help and tips are greatly appreciate. Thank you for your help.

Yes you need to set up on IA-8

After setting them up all the other satellites will then be available, use USALS if you can but some satellites to the far east and west of your arc will have to be set up with DiSEqC 1.2

I tried to setup my motor dish but however, i ran into another problem. I don't have IA 8 program into my Pasat 2700a receiver. What do I do now? I have satellite G11 in the recevier which is 91 w. If I use this one should it work as my ture south Satellite too? Please help... thank you.

Any satellite close to the top of your arc will work when setting up a motor (use USALS)


There used to be a satellite (Telstar 4 at 89º degrees) at the same position, if that is listed on your receiver you could use that!
