newbie looking for advice.

Hi my name is travis and i am 27 years old and I have recently built my family a new house and would love some advice on what type of home theater equipment to look for and where i can learn more to educate myself. I currently have a 61" Samsung-hlp6163w with a samsung hd941 upconvert dvd player and dishnetwork with the 622 dvr. Would love any advice on surround sound and anything else, just trying to learn... thanks
