Oh yeah, it'll be here tomorrow. My buddy bought a new LG last year and he told me when I showed him that he saw this Sony and was very impressed with itSo have you made a decision yet?

Thanks to my job, I've seen over the years that Sony has really risen above the rest in just how well built they are. They just feel better constructedCan't say enough good things about my Sony A8H 65 inch. I know your looking at an LED tv. My point I'm making is, I'm totally sold on Sony. Waiting for my bedroom Samsung tv to die so I can replace it with a x900 or equivalent as I don't need an Oled in the bedroom unless it's a smoking deal. I am a fan of android TV myself, I know some aren't, but it does all of the apps I use. The LG OLEDs are nice but the software, and some missing apps swayed me. One of the big ones the LG is missing is ESPN. Need that once or twice a year but keeps me from having to hook a streaming stick to the tv.

Couldn't agree more. I saved for 2 years for my TV. Made it a year and half and got it on a great deal black Friday from Amazon. Sony is definitely worth waiting/saving for. Thanks to my job, I've seen over the years that Sony has really risen above the rest in just how well built they are. They just feel better constructed
I bought my first Sony back in 1984. A friend of mine needed money so he sold me his 13" Sony Trinitron for $60. I was living in a super tiny apartment at the time so it was perfect. I had a couple of other Sony TV's along the way. When my last Trinitron finally bit the dust I bought a Sharp Aquos LCD. It was OK but I went back to Sony shortly after that. You pay a slight premium with Sony but it's worth it IMHO.Thanks to my job, I've seen over the years that Sony has really risen above the rest in just how well built they are. That's awesome. I'm not old enough to remember the days of tvs that small. It has came a long way. My dad often talks about watching tv on an old tube tv saying to himself it can never get any better than this. Crazy how much technology changes.I bought my first Sony back in 1984. Well this one lives up to the hype. I haven't played with any calibrating yet, but out of the box, it's visually stunning!I bought my first Sony back in 1984. Pretty much every manufacturer offers TVs that range from awful to great. Some manufacturers dwell more at one end or the other.I know there are many displays that are better, but for the money, my TCL is great.

I'm looking forward to getting my OTA setup!I love my Series 6 TCL TV’s!
Although I was looking at the Sony X90J yesterday. While the PQ is about the same I was looking at it as it has a built in ATSC 3.0 tuner in it.
Also the Netflix calibration mode seems cool so when you watch Netflix your monitor is calibrated the exact same as the monitors at Netflix are so what you are seeing is what Netflix was seeing when they encoded the video.

Since I wasn't making a specific claim why would I bother getting into the minutia of one set compared to others? I merely said mine is good for the money.Pretty much every manufacturer offers TVs that range from awful to great. Some manufacturers dwell more at one end or the other.
To be useful, any assessment of relative goodness should at least include a model number and maybe some commentary about where the TV falls in the company's product line (budget, mid-range or premium). Also useful would be some mention of the OS involved.
Just bought the 85” Sony X95J, the picture is so much better then my TCLs (a mix of Series 6, 7 and 8) but my wife hates Google TV, so I have put the 7 Series back in the Living Room.I love my Series 6 TCL TV’s!

Without offering which model (or at least the price range) yours was, it isn't much of a contribution in making a considered choice.I merely said mine is good for the money.
