Current system Hr21 and H23. Slimline 3 with a Legacy LNB. Their are BBC's on the inputs to the HR 21.
From my search of the information posted, to convert this system to use HR24 and H25 I will need a SWM LNB, a PI, and a splitter. Am I on the right track....or have I missed something? Any help or suggestion are appreciated. Thanks in advance for you help.

Yep, your on the right track. Once you convert over to the SWM system, take off the the BBC's (The SWM makes them unnecessary), and you only need one coax to each receiver (yes, even the DVR). The Coax to the HR-24 will go to the Sat In 1 connector.
You'll need to set the receivers to the new dish type as well.

:welcome to Satelliteguys Beak Boater!

The receiver/dvr should auto detect the swm lnb.

As Raoul said, they "should" auto-detect it. If your activating the new receivers after you put in the new dish.. recommended btw because the H25 wont work without a SWM... then when you get to the Dish configuration screen (After you select the language), it should automatically come up Dish Type 17: Slimline 3(S) or 18: Slimline 5(S) depending on if its a 3 lnb or a 5 lnb SWM.
If your changing the dish with the old receivers, then do a reset and when it comes up with "A Satellite Signal Could Not Be Detected" select on "Repeat Satellite Setup" and when the screen comes up, it should automatically come up with the above settings.. remeber to take the BBC's and extra coax off before you do the reset.

One other thing while I'm thinking about it.. The splitter needs to be a directv SWM splitter. One of the connectors is marked for power. This is the line that the power inserter has to be connected to. Thats absolutely critical.
