newb question...currently have DTV, trying to get HD w/bad LOS

i have the R16 receiver and i JUST bought a 46" AQUOS. i tweaked the pic, and it looks fantastic!

Obviously i want to go to HD now...install tech from D* said no line of sight for the ability to get High Def signal.

so i called D* CSR and he says i have to have 5 LNB dish for the HD signals to pull with the HD DVR receiver....wrong/right???

can i have a 3 LNB dish to go with the HD DVR receiver?...he said there's no way to use the 5 LNB and set it to only search the 3 main satellites and "forget" about the other two.

R the main HD channels on the 3 main satellites?...that's what i thought.

PLEASE tell me there's hope! I spent over $300 getting the first install done, ONLY 4 months ago from an indy dealer, and that's with an upgraded dish to get a great signal.

You would need a Slimline 3. Some of the CSRs apparently aren't yet aware of this.
