ou can’t keep a good rumor down. Just weeks after Microsoft stamped down talk that an HDMI-enabled Xbox 360, codenamed Zephyr, was in the works, the rumors are back. Retailers have confirmed that the new SKU is in their systems, set for a May 1 release for $479.99. In addition to the new video interface, the system would also pack a 120 GB hard drive into its nifty black exterior. Microsoft won’t officially confirm that such a configuration exists, but it’s interesting that so many retailers are wrong in the same way…

$299, $399, $479?....

This would be a mistake, the 120GB hard drive isn't worth an $80 premium.... UNLESS it comes packed with an HDMI cable.

Hopefully they'll get smart and sell a kit to easily upgrade the hard drive. Let me port the data over to my PC and then back to my new drive. The save games could be done with a memory card, but the music and shows I've downloaded would take a lot longer.... (According to OXM, you can redownload anything you've purchased previously easily.....)

but its black and HDMI and even with an HDMI cable it isnt worth the extra.u can get a monoproce for 6 bux

I think it should still be in the discussion since the majority of HD DVD drives in use right now are plugged into an XBox360 USB port....

I have a stand alone HD-DVD player and no Blu-Ray capability. If I buy a new game console it will be a PS3 so I can play Blu-Ray only titles and have both formats covered. I'll most likely wait for a price drop though.
