New Uplink Center Under Construction

This may be old news, but while browsing the Equity Broadcasting site I noticed they mentioned that they are building a new expanded uplink center near Branson (The OTA transmitter for KWBM is near there as well.) I hope this will mean additional FTA channels in the future, but I could not find any reference to exactly what was being planned other than it was for "future growth".

maybe some more channels. Equity likes to buy low powered stations for their "expanded" Spanish/Asian channels.

So we may see more Univision & Telefutura channels...

I am sorta close to this facility, I know that WB31 (KWBM) is supposed to be launching in HD soon.

I drove past the station(WB31) last week.

THey already have the license I read somewhere for the HD. And also in another thread here it is mentioned about WB and UPN to merge into The CW. So it may be uplinked from this site too.

I pull in FT Smith/Fayetteville & LR.(Which Equity uplinks to G10R currently.)

Maybe I can take my camera and get some shots of the facility.

I wonder if some of the UPN/WB FTA channels will be shut down once the CW merger happens.

Nah, I'm guessing most of them will either go with Univision or their in-house RTN channel.

Personally, I'd love it if they found a way to bring back ImaginAsain, but I think that bridge was burned...
