new tv and dish tv2 not working plz help

new visio tv only change and now tv2 remote doesnt work when tv 1 is on.....the remote when control the tv in bedroom 2 but wont work anything on the satellite ...plzhelp its so frustrating

if the tv is off in living room but reciever on the tv2 will work and function the satellite but if tv is on in living room it will not work anything

Which receiver model do you have?
Try a hard reset on the receiver.

More than likely you're getting rf interference from the living room tv when it is powered on. Try moving the little green antenna on the receiver if you have a piece of coax available.

not sure its the hdtv dvr and ive done reset and didnt work plus on phone troubleshooting with dish for an hour....ive heard these new tvs interfere with the signal for secondary tv....wondering about coax from back of box and moving closer to secondary tv and put antenna on it to see if will work. thoughts???

Yep, you're gonna need a piece of coax and a barrel connector for the antenna. You can get both at radio shack or your local hardware/home improvement store.

i have both already just got to get home and try im prob gonna have to run it about 20 feet to get really closer to my tv....hope it works
