IM JUST TESTING TO SEE IF I CAN GET 97W

ON A MINI BUD

MY DISH IS ONLY 33" AND I HAVE A POLAR ONE WITH LNB IN CENTER

I WILL ADAPT TO A SCALAR RING AND NEED HELP ON THE LNB TYPE

I HAVE AN IDEA BUT NOT SURE WICH LNB I SHOULD BUY BECAUSE I WILL NEED IT
IN THE FUTURE THE LNB AND SCALAR RING TO SWITCH TO A 6' DISH TO USE

I WILL ALSO NEED IT TO WORK BOTH ON A MINBUD AND A 6' DISH SEPERATELY OFCOURSE

IM PICKY NOW BECAUSE FOR TWO REASONS I CAN THINK OF:

FIRST I WILL NEED IT TO WORK WITH A CONTROLLER STRAIT TO LNB
BEACUSE I WILL SWITH LATER,

SECOND I DON'T NEED TO WASTE MORE MONEY ANYMORE ON LNBS

OH, AND ALSO, THAT IT WILL WORK ON A MINIBUD FOR NOW WITHOUT A MOTOR

SO AFTER, I WILL USE AN ACTUATOR TO IT WITH A CONTROLLER, LIKE V BOX

I NOTICES THIS

Model
BSC621
BSC621-2
BSC621-2D
Output F connectors
3
3
2
Ku LO Frequency
10750 MHz
9750/10600 MHz
9750/10600 MHz
C LO Frequency
5150 MHz
5150 MHz5150 MHzInternal Switching
22 KHz
DiSEqC
N/A

I WANT SOMETHING THAT HAS INTERNAL SWITCHING

TO C BAND TO KU BAND AND WORKS WITH A CONTROLLER FOR LATER USE
AND THAT I CAN USE ON A MINI BUD FOR NOW

AND ALSO HEAR BSC621-2D IS GOOD WITH MINI BUD ON RECEPTION
BUT I DON'T KNOW SINCE I FOUND OUT IT DOESN'T HAVE SWITCHING OPTIONS
FOR CONTROLLER ON LATER USE

SO IM NOT SURE

PLEASE APPRECIATED

I WILL POST A PIC OF WHAT I DID FOR THIS 33" DISH TOMORROW

I DIDN'T POST THE INFO RIGHT FOR THESE LNBS
IM GUESSING IF IM GOING TO GO WITH MINI BUD AND THEN AFTER A 6' DISH I WOULD NEED A BSC621-2 TO USE ON BOTH

HERE IS WHAT I WAS LOOKING AT

BSC621 BSC621-2 BSC621-2D
22K DISEqC NONE

HERE IS AN ACTUAL PIC OF MY 33" DISH DSCI0007.JPG

It looks like an offset dish to me, but you've positioned the lnbf like its a prime focus dish. Assuming that it IS an offset dish, your lnbf is NOT at the focal point. I don't expect you will be very happy with your reception in this configuration.
:(

Me three.
Plus even if the dish were a prime focus (and I've seen some which are), it's not going to have a narrow enough beam width to do much on C-band.
We've been over this all before, and a 1 meter dish will get you just a taste of C-band.

For equipment, I'd suggest a C-only LNBF like the C2 from SatelliteAV, or the DMX242 from Galaxy Marketing see top of any page).
They're quite inexpensive.
That'll work well on any actual mini-bud or six foot dish.
Use your little dish the way it was intended with a Ku LNBF, and you'll be better off.

Oh, and if you would please, do not type in capital letters on the forum.
That implies yelling.

Hi Anole,

Could you give some good links about this issue to refresh my memory, especially regarding beam width affect of an offset dish on C-band reception? Not just reception reports, but some kind of background? :)

Which LNB (Standard or Universal) is required for Nilesat in Toronto?
