new to FTA - Can't Get quality Signal

I must have stepped in a big pile of luck.

I've not had any problem pointing. I can even grab a dish and lean it against a garbage can and seem to hit a bird. I've done that with DTV and Dish LNB's just to see what was out there on various sats.

My advise is don't give up. If you can take a small TV outside next to your dish it will make pointing a lot less time intensive because you can see results of tapping your dish up/down/left/right almost immediately.

SUre it seems like a redneck way to do it, but so far it has gotten me by.

I tuned into Chuck Harder's People's Network. Then I adjusted my dish. I got 50% quality without rotating the LNB for polarity skew. I'll try to get IA6 this weekend. Eventually I want to add a motor, but I need to speak with my boss first My wife just doesn't understand a man's needs for high tech toys

Has anyone ever listend to Chuck Harder's "For The People" broadcast? During college (back in the early 90's), I worked at an AM radio station in Brownsville, PA. The station carried this program. The station was sold (in 2000 I think), and Chuck Harder is no longer heard in the Mon Valley area. Anyway, one of the reasons I wanted to get an FTA system was to hear his broadcasts again. I won't say I always agree with him, but he is entertaining.
