I recently switched from the other DBS provider to DirecTV and I must admit that I am impressed with the friendly and very helpful Customer Service and better picture quality which the other provider lacked. The other provider had great customer service back when I first subscribed back in 1999 but that has changed in the past few years.
I don't have an HD TV yet so, I am subscribing to the Plus DVR / Choice Extra Package. The DVR's features work great and the EPG looks fine. The only downside is that the Channel Names in the Guide take some getting used to since the Channel name appears to have a limit of 4 Characters compared to the other providers 5.
