New to DirecTV HD - Question

Just got the DirecTV HD Receiver and can receive two HD channels:

CBS West - KCBS-DT
NBC West - KNBC-DT

Live in the Los Angeles DMA.

But, I cannot receive Discovery HD, Universal HD, or other channels. NBC East is Bloomberg. Fox is some shopping channel, and ABC West is showing up as PPV???

What gives. Just got the 3-LMB satellite dish installed today.

What kind of message do you get on those channels? (73, 74, 76, 79, etc)

If you go through the setup, do satellites B and C look OK?

The stations you mention, such as Discovery HD, Universal HD etc, are only availiable if you subscribe to the HD pack, which currently is priced at $10.99 monthly.

I feel that scottie was hoping to see if you get a "contact customer service x721" message. If you do see that then you are not signed up for that package and would need to order it.
