If I am new subscriber and want to self install can I do that? I want to take advantage of the free equipment deals and would like to have the equipment dilivered to me at home. My father in law, has directv, they mailed him the equipment, and then sent an installer after it arrived, is this how dish does it? I am very savvy with satellite equipment and know how to do it, plus I wont be at this house too long and dont really want a "permanent" install.

Thanks

Scott

No you can't. You have to have it professionally installed, at least if you want the Digital Home Advantage.

Actually, what you need to do is find an agreeable LOCAL RETAILER that will work with you.

Take advantage of them supplying cable, connectors, etc. and if your "temporary" setup is easier on the installer than a "standard" one, he's not likely to have a problem with it. ;)

So.... with all these local channel moves to 129...
