New Setup - Can not change to channel 284

I am setting up a new install of DSR315 and 75cm dish. When I first started receiver I changed to channel 284 OK. Then I had trouble getting to Diagnostic C screen. (instructions did match my remote). Now I noticed that I was on channel 916. I try to enter 284 and nothing. Go to main screen and using channek up/down I only have 205-216 and 905-934.

So obviously I did something wrong. Any one know what it was?
OR
Is there a way to reset the receiver back toit's out of box condition?

Also, I am in Northern California and not having a lot of luck picking up the signal.

I have used
elevation = 45.3
azimuth = 162.5
skew = 76

default is usually 284 but I don't think that really applies anymore, try ch. 299, when I was setting up mine I ended up using 299 for the main and using 298 for F2 sat. you don't necessarily have to use the Dia. C screen, I just used the signal screen. after using that to find the signal you then could use the Dia. C screen to set your ebno as high as you can get it set. the higher the reading the better. 3rd line far right. has- or + reading.

do a master reset

options 6-7-7-8 (I think thats the code) and there is a master reset. Only do this if you arent authorized yet
