Yes. This one already has the 50mm tube installed when you purchase it. No need to buy a 50mm tube.

:up

That's interesting, I measured it as best I could and it shows that it's 55mm, I think. Or about 2 & 1/8" in US measurements. As best as I can tell. I found a pipe that is 2" around on the outside and it slips into the motor tube very tightly. I measured around it with a tailors tape measure and it reads 17cm around and google tells me that's about 55mm.

What I was looking for is a tube that it is about 2" around on the outside so that I could adapt it easier. I've been trolling ebay for parts to adapt the motor to my dish but to be totally honest, I have no clue what I'm doing, at all. Not even a little bit. :o

Sorry, I'm just quoting because you said tailor's tape measure. For some odd reason that makes me happy.

BTW, they are a great addition for any mobile toolbox. Small and great for small spaces where a normal, retractable tape measure won't work. Also great for round measurements as has been pointed out above.:up

:) Any woman playing the diet game has one. And despises the evil little truth teller. ;)

I never noticed that it had metric on the back of it until I thought of using it to measure the motor tube thing. (I don't know the official name of the part)..

My dad has some digital tool things that he can use to tell you the measurements of *anything*... Maybe I should get one of those. Being digital I could probably use it. He tried to show me how to use and old kind before that is not digital, it's some weird thing you have to convert in your head. I could NOT deal with it, it just made me angry and I told him to get the thing away from me before I threw it! It was for measuring round things. I can not deal with fractions or math very well. Thank goodness my iphone has a calculator for shopping. I HATE when they have something listed like "Fritos: 3 for $5" and I want to know the price for ONE item. I can't do that in my head and the iphone comes out of the purse.

At least with metric you don't have to do all those STUPID fractions like 1 6/57th or something totally evil like that. Fractions are of the devil. Yes, they are. I swear it.

Digital calipers? I have some analog ones and they are great. Especially for getting circumference (inside and outside) of tubes. The digital ones are nice and I use them at work.
I'm apparently a nerd and my coworker and I have a game we like to call, "How many centimeters wide is that thing?"

Digital calipers are very nice. It's the right tool for measuring the tube.

The inside dimensions of the tube is 50mm (5cm). Check out this picture. I don't have my caliper close by, but here is a picture of the measurement with a regular ruler. Make sure you are measuring from inside of the tab on the bottom of the tube.

I talked to dad a while ago, he's going to give me a digital one tomorrow.
He offered to give me the old kind but I told him no thanks.
He has several of them. I've seen him use a digital one, it's SIMPLE.
Even my Simple Simon mind can deal with that thing.

Actually what I was concerned with was the outside size of the tube because I'm trying to cobble up stuff that wasn't designed to be put on a motor.

I didn't understand that these things are sold according to the inside sizes. I thought it was by the outside size.

Here you go... Hope this helps......

Oh! I see now. Ok thank you very much, I was not clear on how these things are measured, by inside or outside.

Now I will take a few days to try to sort out in my brain some sort of way to make this all match up.

Thank you! :)
