Always checking the offers from Dish. One thing I've noticed with the last couple is that they are defaulting the offer to turn off the add-on, instead of making the subscriber choose to turn it off after the deal is over. I like that.

I'm starting a second two months Showtime for free deal. I'll take that! Don't use it too much, but free be free. The Dish Movie pack is perpetually at $5 a month for 6 months.

Is that under my dish/My account/my offers? Not seeing any deals.
Yup, My Offers. I always have a collection of 1 month free deals on Flex Packs and then the usual 6 months of Dish Movies for half off. The Free Showtime is relatively new. The odd thing is they have 2 months free Showtime or 3 months Showtime half off.

I've been with Dish for quite a while, and I haven't asked for discounts, so that could be a reason why I have more available. Or it is a glitch in the system.

I ask for and get a large(to me) discount every two years. Probably why I'm not seeing anything. No biggie.
Dish making the promotion end by itself is quite consumer friendly and should be adopted by more companies. I wonder if it has anything to do with the proposed FTC rule that makes ending a subscription easier. Nice change.

I noticed it is only some of the promotions - the two months of free Showtime is one of them, but the multi-sport pack at half price stays on until it is removed by the user. I do think it would be nice if all rolled off if no action was taken.
