Kenny,

I'm in Kalamazoo.

Vurbano,
Well yes that was my original question until Damaged jumped all over my original posts. I really wasn't sure if there was a recourse for this or not if attempts to just kindly asked to stop were ignored. I am not a person that jumps to the conlcusion to call the police for every little thing. Sadly it did take police to intervene for the people to realize they are adults now, you have to play by adults rules and act like an adult.

Maybe the cops just didn't want to do anything about it but it reminds me of a situation here in Georgia one time. As you read this, please also be aware that I am unfamiliar with the laws in this state (as far as pornography, etc) and generally just attempt to mind my own business. This also happened quite a while ago but the laws could have changed since 1991. And, in this community, things are often taken out of context. However, if it's right on the side of the street (and not in somebody's house), I often at least notice what's going on. As far as their house goes -- it's personal property and whatever they do is their own thing if it doesn't bother me. I'm in a small town, so I'll say that you'll sometimes hear, "this person is on dope", or "he's a cross-dresser", or "she is a porn addict". Sadly, most of these people base claims off of something they saw through someone's window -- To me, if they pay their taxes and keep up the mortgage, it's none of my business what they do in the house and I just leave it alone.

Anyways (about the situation here in Georgia)... It was one summer when I was out of school and I'm guessing it was around 1991 or 1992. We've had a few "celebs" that have lived in our town because they think it'll be quiet and mine it's own business (yeah right), but during that one particular summer, I remember one woman (and others that visited her house) participating in what most people in the nieghborhood were calling "softcore" porn. I actually saw them one afternoon (because, heck, it was right on the side of the road), but I know that my family never complained because, after all, it wasn't our home. Anyways, the one girl in particular was a wrestler for some company. And while she looked good, she wasn't Trish Stratus, Torrie Wilson, or Stacy Keibler material.

She had set up a ring outside of her house (not in the front yard but to the side of the house -- visible to the road (partially blocked by a pine tree) and would often have another girl over (usually the same two) and would have a guy or girl filming and sometimes (from what everybody complained about) a guy that would manage either her or the other girl. Most people were mad because the girls would fight in their swimsuits (normally two-piece) and they really went haywire when they were watching and saw a guy stomp one of the girls down south.

Then, other people got pissed because they were filming (and apparently) selling them to some people. What it all boils down to, though, is that people really invaded the property (even though they didn't step foot on it). The girl, whoever she was, ended up selling the house and moving (although I don't know where). But the cops never could do a thing to her because, in their words, "she was never undressed". This community simply considered a bathing suit the equivalent of porn. I might be stupid and ignorant concerning some things, but I thought a swimsuit (whether one or two-piece) was legal.

My grandfather was a simple man. He was religious and was considered a great and well respected man in the community. When all of this was going on, I remember asking my grandfather his opinions about the whole issue. He simply said, "My property lines (which touched hers) end right there and her's start right there. My business is on my side of the property lines."

Kalamazoo?? Tigers fan??

When I lived in Ypsilanti Michigan back in 93 I had a neighbor in a house next to mine who had a stalkers devotion to a friend who lived downstairs from me and my girlfriend of the time. Rob was for all intents and purposes in his early 30's yet emotionaly he was 14 yrs old bby how he interacted with others. One day while Im at work my girl friend called me up and said that Rob was standing completely naked in his bedroom window totaly naked punching the clown and staring at my friends window downstairs as well as the new neighbor in the front units window upstairs.

The new neighbor called the cops and Rob was arested and spent the next 9 months in jail for public indecincy and lewdness. Two months after he got out I was down at my car when he came up and atempted to talk to me when I was trying to leave to go somewhere, at no point did I want to talk to him and told him I had to go at wich point he flipped and started yelling and swearing up a storm and threatening to do damage to my car. While this was going on my friend came out and when Rob started his tirade she went in and called the cops, they arived and asked me what was going on and did the same with Rob and my friend, a few minutes later they cuffed him and put him in the car on the grounds of potentialy violating his parole by threatening and swearing infront of a woman wich is against the law in Michigan.

SatinKzo your new neighbors got very lucky, had someone seen them performing some kind of sexual act they would most likely be sitting in jail right now, if the other neighbor that was told to F off had either known of this law or had pushed it that guy could have been arrested as he swore infront of a child and I asume the mother of the child.

Ones material items of status does not determine the level of intelligence or common sense, like the gentleman I was nearly run off the road by lastnight when he flew past me in his white 2006 vette going so fast I couldnt tell if he even had a license plate, this coming from someone living in a gated high dollar coastal community in Savannah. Read the news and its full of educated and wealthy individuals who have short to long term lapses of common sense, this couple is no exception and let hormones and probably alcohol or some illegal substance mar their judgement.

"...swearing infront of a woman wich is against the law in Michigan...."

Huh? Not sure how I feel about that. Not sure I'd WANT it to be upheld in the courts.

Its an oooolllddd law, theres some other odd balls to on the books. A few years back some guy got arrested for yelling out a four letter word after falling out of a canoe at a park in the state, a woman with her kids heard it and went to the park ranger and the guy was later arrested, I think his case was dismissed.

Oh yeah, I remember that one. Everyone was like "WTF! oh damn, sorry ma'am didn't see you there." :)

Btw, guess what I had on my door today when I got home from work and apparently many other neighbors had posted on their doors.....

A form apology letter to the neighborhood about the actions of last night, but it was hand signed by both of them. Took a lot of guts IMO to do that.

fhsucade07, sorry not a baseball fan anymore. Growing up I loved the tigers, but I can't get into baseball these days. Games are too long and ticket prices too high.

Well with all of those letters going out I'd suggest that everyone give them a second chance. I know now they don't want any trouble and if given a second chance I believe that will be the best people on the street. You know the people that leave you alone lol. I also have this crazy feeling that the mother might have said a few very bad things just to tick them off. Some of the mothers I've seen can be some real pain the in the azz bitches to say the least and that is when they are having their two days a month without PMS.:D

They had a second and third chance. Notes were left telling them kids could see it. A mother complained and they said f*ck off.
I would have handled it the same as the mother. Inform them kids could see it, and with that response would have called the police.

I have to agrea with Derwin0, the mother was one chance and SatinKzo was a second chance and when you tell a mother to get the F off the property right infront of her kid then all bets are off for my wife and I.
