Just speculation on my part, but the blackout might have something to do with NASA's upcoming 'Innovation Day'. Maybe they are reconfiguring things so they can showcase the event in UHD? Fingers crossed.

Maybe so, I'm hoping for some good ideas to come from that. It is supposed to be on NASA TV so we will see if it is simultaneously broadcast on the UHD channel.
