Hi,
Name is David and my first post.Been learning some about fta, since about
march.Located in texas,and using Fortec 80cm,1 meter,and 1.2 meter dishes.Just
got a 180cm,but wind was too strong this weekend to put it up.Tried G10R,with
80cm,fixed,but 121 wiped me out during windy weather(may have been lousy mount). For now I use 1 meter and SG2100 for ku band,and,1.2 meter and SG2100 for c band.
Receivers are Coolsat 5K platinum,Fortec Lifetime Classic NA,and Orasat V3.
Thanks,David

Hello and WELCOME to the SatelliteGuys.US FTA forum!

:welcome

Would love to see any pictures of your 1.2m and SG2100 motor if you have any!

NICE to have you here!

Hi Pete and rdel.
Thanks for the welcome!Don't have any photos for now,but will work on it.
Have the 1 m and 1.2 m dishes mounted six feet above ground,on 2.375" poles
concreted in the ground 2 1/2 feet.Live in a pretty windy place, but, have to keep them above deer levels(live in the country).
Have good luck so far with the 1.2 meter, but I think I may need to rough up the pole its mounted on,to get a better bite into the metal.Anik F1/C comes in great, but when I go to extreme east or west,I have to use Disqc 1.2 to fine adjust.I suspect that the motor mount is slipping some.I think that I'm on the arc, but, may be off a little.
David

Hi,
Forgot to say that I'm using Invacom SNH-031 on 1m,and BSC-621-2 on 1.2meter dishes. The 80cm has Fortec universal and Legacy dual(Nasa).
Thanks,David
