New lineup November 3rd

Leaving aside discussions of old age, random shuffling and minor re-naming of channels seems to accomplish little but to confuse customers, obsolete printed materials, and cause work for CSRs dealing with confused customers.
I’m only 41 but I happen to like some older music.

I'm 70 and I love both the 40's Junction and the underground garage on 21 - I can't explain.

Several years ago when the 40’s channel was on 4 they preempted it for several weeks for other programming and got thousands of calls and emails. They admitted the audience was vastly underestimated as there were also many younger listeners. I suggested that rather than take it off the air that they rename it and move it to another spot if it meant they would leave it alone. They agreed and did so. There are lots of listeners, but attempting to gain new subscribers I’m sure they decided that the lower channels could serve a better purpose. It doesn’t matter as I still have 4,5,6 etc programmed to the decades on my receiver and XM automatically switches to the new channels.

Wow. If you know of a way to make suggestions and get answered, could you ask them to fix their Alexa skill so that it can' tell me what song it's playing? The absence of this ability on this one platform has caused me no end of grief.

Also ask them if they can upgrade the software so the radios in the cars that only get certain channels can get them all. Anything in the higher 200's and up are not available, all the College Conference channels are in the 300's .... many games they say they cover are Streaming Only. Many of these use to be available.

Interesting request. Even if the tuners in our cars were upgradable, I don't see how they can add all those channels without removing others. Do you know something I don't?

First, the tuners in the vehicle more than likely are not upgradable without changing the unit entirely ....
IF the tuners We're upgradable, it should be and easy thing to do.
Software is very adjustable usually.

The ability to receive “all” the channels is not fixable with software. It is a hardware problem and cannot be changed without replacing the unit.

I notice that the DISH channels still have the 50s and 60s on channels 99-05 and 99-06. They have been updated to show the Gold name as well.
