New install questions

Probably going to jump from direct to dish and have a few questions on the best set-up. We will have 4 tvs: 1 main, 1 that gets moderate use, 1 that is used a little, and 1 that seldom gets used.

Is it possible to get two boxes (hopper, super joey) and somehow use the sling feature to get programming on the 2 televisions that aren't used often?

What is the best deal for new customers? I found one site offering a $200 rebate and haven't seen any others that came close to that.

Thanks!

Is it possible to use sling to watch different programming on each television, instead if splitting the outputs? If so, what do I need to make it work?

If I have joeys installed in all the rooms and later decide I do not need all of them, can I just send some of them back? Is there a charge and would it change my contract any?

Another question, is it OK to have my wireless router next to the hopper? The joeys are wireless, correct?

Some folks have purchased the wired Joeys so they can keep them but turn them on or off at any time. If you happen to have LG smart TVs in the seldom used locations they can be used like wireless Joeys.

Had the install yesterday, about an hour after I called to sign up. I went with the hopper, a super joey, and a wireless joey. Decided didn't need it on the fourth tv.

Good to hear. Please remember the Hopper takes of to 72 hours to get all settled in. If you run into some problems, just wait another day or two.

One difference I notice from the genie to the hopper is the genie would automatically choose the best format to fill the screen such as when watching older shows; on dish network I have to do this manually with the * button. Is there a setting I am missing?

Everything is working fine, but a few annoyances coming from the genie; may be me just not knowing how to do it on the hopper, any tips appreciated:

Used to be able to go to a channel and remove it from my favorites list on the channel

Favorites lists shows both HD and SD channels, found setting to remove from main guide, but still shows on favorites list

When my genie shut off due to inactivity, it would not send any signal to the tv, and tv would turn off. The hopper's screen saver keeps the tv on even after the hopper shuts down due to inactivity

Used to be able to push just the one power button the remote to turn on/off the tv and satellite, now have to push each button separate.

Having to change the picture size manually for older shows in a bit aggravating, but I can deal with it.

I will say that I was a little worried about the picture quality, often heard dish's hd wasn't quite as good as direct's. From what I have watched so far, I would say it is just as good, if not a little better.
