I thought the Joey can't talk to more than one Hopper at a time. So no I don't get it.

When the software is implemented the Joeys will 2 both Hoppers as one. I'm using an extra Joey now pointing to my 2nd Hopper, with a Harmony remote one button switch between them (HDMI inputs) - boom! no going through menus.

Considering you aren't going to be watching more than one program at a time from a Joey, that really is a moot point. Just a few extra button presses until full integration. Joey can see anything on either Hopper right now.

I'm not saying I agree with the way the Hopper was manufactured although I do see some logic to it, as long as two Hoppers were made available to anyone who requests it, regardless of number of Joeys. I've been very vocal about this in the Dish forums. I agree three tuners isn't a "whole-home" system for a lot of homes (for some it obviously is fine).
