New HD locals DMAs might still be receiving PTAT channels in SD

I am in the Lubbock DMA . Locals in HD were made available in July on 61.5. Last night I started PTAT for the new prime time season. All the shows recorded in SD and all future PT shows on the guide are also showing they will be recorded in SD. I PMed TommyF at DIRT and he said he will report it . However, our area is set on their system to receive PTAT in SD. They did this for area without HD to use PTAT. I thank them for that. However, they have not switched them back to HD now that locals in HD are available. Most DMAs get the HD PTAT. It is only the ones that had the switch set for SD PTAT that might not have the switch reset to HD. It would be nice to know who else on this forum is having the same problem.

I think yours is a limited time goof which will rectify itself when the SD duplicates are taken down. None of the rest of us on EA have SD duplicates of HD LiL channels at all.

I doubt if they will take down the locals in SD on 110. Most of my DMA have older non HD receivers. Those that do have Hoppers want the PTAT in HD. They have added a 61.5 dish. All new customers will get EA and only have locals in HD and will not be able to use PTAT and auto hop. This is not what is advertised as a reason to get Hopper in our DMA.

Aha, gotcha. You obviously need an EA dish.

My Lubbock local PTAT recordings for Tuesday (9/17) were HD, but Wednesday (9/18) and Thursday (9/19) are back to SD.

I'm going to PM a Dirt member and see if they can work on this - AGAIN!

BTY, our SD duplicates are on 110, so we are a split arc DMA once again and as odbrv said not too many in Lubbock probably even have a 61.5 dish, everyone is on WA and we need a wing dish to 61.5 to get our HD locals.
