New DVR R10, newbie problem, help!

I just bought a R10, and am psyched to get started. I live in an apartment building with a round dish on the roof. I currently have two Hughes standard recievers, and want to replace one of them with the R10. When I hook up the R10, I can't detect any of the even transponders. Then it tells me the "right side is not detected." I have no clue what this means, or what I have to do to remedy the situation.

The even transpnder issue is probably a cable or LNB issue. The "right side is not detected"???? don't know. Do you have 1 or 2 lines hooked to the tivo? You didn't put a splitter in the line did you?

Most likely his issue is the way his apts. have their multi-switch set up, if there are using a stacked set up his dvr will not work.
