I agree that SD channels look horrible with D* but hopefully most of the channels you watch are in HD.

Setting the format on the receiver to 720p seems to help with SD but not by much.

Yeah most of the channels I'll be watching are in HD and I have an Onkyo receiver the upgrades everything to 1080p
